The Project
In 2024 Aalborg Technical Gymnasium, along with its partners: Instituto Educación Secundaria CARRÚS, LYCEE POLYVALENT NIEPCE BALLEURE & BG Georgigasse (Graz International Bilingual School), got its Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project Green Empowerment of Schools – How to take action approved.
As part of this initiative this website has been put together, and will continue to be updated periodically throughout the project period, with the intention to disseminate knowledge and results from the project: best practices, policies, introducing green didactics, etc.
After the conclusion of the project period in 2027 the website will receive a final update with learning, teaching & policy content, sharing discovered best practices with included examples, as well as access to a dissemination report written as a summary of the entire project.
The Project is characterized by three separate stages: Work Package 2 (WP2): Green Didactic, WP3: Policy making and WP3: How to empower for the future – dissemination. These work packages consist of the following activities (training events, project management meetings, transnational meetings, etc. not included):

Dissemination
- Activity 6:
Development of educational platform.
As such the project revolves around each partner school sharing their best practices and unique learning environments, the initial aim being to train and equip teachers to better understand the structures of action learning in a green school context, training them in green didactics and work with student engagement as well as supplying them with practical experience on how to implement and apply this knowledge.
The steering team will secure formative results through monitoring and evaluation of the practical hands-on parts of the training and policy-implementation and ensure best possible results, measure their impact on both school and students as well as making sure the work processes remain aligned with the individual work packages stated goals.
After the initial focus on training and engagement, the objective becomes implementation of Green Policy into activities, the focus shifts towards advancing the integration of green skills and global citizenship within schools.
Special for WP3 is a focus on Action Learning Methodologies as a means to empower students and teachers, with the goal of impacting school’s habitus to work as green institutions.
Action Learning Methodologies in workshops endows participating teachers and students with hands-on experience and ownership, empowering them to take concrete action towards sustainability and climate change, whilst also bestowing them with the very tools to do so. By addressing real-world challenges and developing sustainable solutions in international collaboration, participants learn to apply green policy in practice.
Finally, the results of the various workshops and activities will be compiled and learning material sharing best practices developed and disseminated for the benefit of any learning institution with the interest in greening education. The form that this will take is yet to be determined but stay tuned for future updates from us!
